Crop stages and fertilizers
- Stage 1 — Land Preparation. Purpose: Improve soil fertility & structure. Fertilizers used: Farmyard Manure (FYM), Compost, Vermicompost, Cocopeat, Biochar.
- Stage 2 — Soil Amendment. Purpose: Correct Soil pH & improve CEC. Fertilizers used: Lime, Gypsum, Biochar (optional).
- Stage 3 — Basal Application. Purpose: Root development. Fertilizers used: DAP (18-46-0), SSP, TSP, NPK (10-20-10, 12-32-16, etc.).
- Stage 4 — Seedling Stage. Purpose: Early growth & nursery establishment. Fertilizers used: DAP, Starter NPK fertilizers, Cocopeat.
- Stage 5 — Vegetative Stage. Purpose: Leaf and stem growth. Fertilizers used: Urea (46-0-0), CAN, Ammonium Sulfate, NPK (balanced, e.g. 20-20-20).
- Stage 6 — Flowering Stage. Purpose: Flower formation. Fertilizers used: NPK (12-12-17), DAP, Potassium Nitrate.
- Stage 7 — Fruit/Grain Development. Purpose: Yield and quality. Fertilizers used: MOP, SOP, Potassium Nitrate.
- Stage 8 — Micronutrient Stage. Purpose: Correct deficiencies. Fertilizers used: Zinc Sulfate, Borax, Magnesium Sulfate, Iron Chelate.
- Stage 9 — Foliar Feeding (Optional). Purpose: Quick nutrient supply. Fertilizers used: NPK 19-19-19, 20-20-20, 13-0-45 + Micronutrients.
- Stage 10 — Pre-Harvest. Purpose: Improve crop quality. Fertilizers used: Calcium Nitrate, Potassium Nitrate (if required).
